Al Ain Juniors School

Shivani Thandareth Kunnummal, studying in grade VIII in Al Ain Juniors School, Indian System,

has been selected as one of the two winners in Al Ain during the Cycle 19 of the Sheikh Hamdan Award.

She has been showcasing her achievements and participating in a number of events within the UAE for the last several years. She has won many laurels, which include 3k and 5k marathons conducted in and around UAE.

She has conducted several Diabetes awareness campaigns and was a major contributor to many of the awareness Walkathons conducted in different parts of UAE. She has excelled in her academics while giving her best in all the other school activities. She is interested in sports and has won several medals at the inter-school athletics competitions.

Dancing has always been a passion for her and was able to participate and win many competitions. She learned Karate, building her fitness in an effort to enhance her performance in athletic competitions. During this period, she was able to participate and win several national and international championships in Karate competitions held in various parts of UAE. She is presently a Black Belt holder in Karate.
