Al Ain Juniors School

Department of Islamic Studies and UAE Social Studies of Al Ain Juniors School hosted Inter School Competition to commemorate the “Year of Zayed—2018” on Thursday 22nd February 2018 at AJ Auditorium.

The event began with welcome Address by the Mr. Mohammad Gaffar, Acting Principal. Mr. Ibrahim from AQA, ADEK inaugurated the event. Ms. Reem Mohammad and Ms. Mehreen Addressed the gathering by highlighting the role of the late leader in establishing the UAE Federation, and his local, regional and international achievements. Ms. Besan of Grade 9 mesmerized the audience with beautiful recitation of the poem “Year of Zayed”.

The event continued with a tribute to Sheikh Zayed by Ms. Tayba ad Master Hamad. Traditional Arabic dance caught the attention of everyone. Ms. Mariam, Mr. Ibrahim, Mr. Nazeeh and Mr. Gazwan from Academic Quality Assurance Division of ADEK were the judges for the event. The competition included Research Booklet on Year of Zayed, Drawing, and coloring on the same theme. It had participants from Emirates Falcon School, Al Manahil, Our Own English High School, Global English School, Al Ain juniors Indian System and Al Ain Juniors British System. Al Ain Juniors Schools emerged as the overall champion of the competition.
