Al Ain Juniors School has had a long history of proving its support for Breast Cancer and Diabetes Awareness. Students look forward each year to adorn their vests with pink ribbons and shed light on the reality of these unfortunate illnesses.
This year, AJB’s students aimed more ambitiously with their support: creating a fair combining the two to raise money for charity.
On Friday, November 11th, students across grades 7 to 12 orchestrated an event so huge and victorious that guests across Al Ain visited and participated. Through its partnership with NMC, Al Ain Juniors boosted health checks and actively spread awareness through consultations by certified professionals.
Throughout the two-hour affair, the atmosphere around the campus was surrounded with liveliness and joy. There were a number of stalls set up to raise donations for diabetic and breast cancer patients, such as a henna stall, a face-painting booth, and an accessory table. With their presence, visitors were given a variety of options to choose from.
However, the main attraction of the event were the 17 unique game stalls which were managed by grades 7, 8, and 9 each of which showcased the creativity of each class. It included a ping pong table, basketball free throws, football passes through hurdles, and many more.
Additionally, grade 10 to 12 students had a bake sale which included baked goods of all kinds, as well as inclusive sugar-free options for diabetic guests. In total, they raised a large sum of money through their success.
We would like to extend a special thank you to all the student council members, volunteers, teachers, choir members, the finance team, and everyone else who helped orchestrate the success of the event.
