In a nail-biting final match, Teacher Challengers emerged victorious over Admin Riders, winning the AJPL Cricket Tournament by a mere 2 runs.

The match was held on Sunday, February 20th, at the AJS Ground, and was attended by enthusiastic cricket fans. Both teams put up a great fight, with Teacher Challengers winning the toss and electing to bat first. They managed to score a total of 44 runs, with some impressive batting by their top order, particularly by Thanveer Ahamed.

In response, Admin Riders lost Captain Mueed Pathan in the very first over. However, they made a comeback with excellent batting from CEO Zahid Sarosh. Teacher Challengers also put up a strong performance in the second half of the match, with Thanveer and Ahamad Navas delivering some excellent bowling. Admin Riders fell just short of their target, finishing with a score of 41 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.

After the match, several players were recognized for their outstanding performances throughout the tournament. Thanveer Ahamed from Teacher Challengers was awarded the Best Bowler trophy, while Ravi from Parent Panthers received the Best Batsman award. Fawad, also from Parent Panthers, was declared the Best All-rounder of the tournament. Yousuf and Faris from Admin Riders were awarded the Emerging Player award for their impressive performances.

In the eliminator match held earlier in the day, Teacher Challengers defeated Parent Panthers by 7 wickets to secure their place in the final.

Overall, the AJPL Cricket Tournament was a great success, with all the teams displaying great skill and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. We congratulate Teacher Challengers on their well-deserved victory and look forward to the next edition of the tournament.

During the closing ceremony, Mr. Fawad honoured AJ Group Chairman Mr. Arshad Sharief on behalf of all the parents and participants. He presented a memento and a bouquet of flowers to Mr. Sharief to recognize and thank him for his outstanding dedication and support towards sports, which had a positive impact on all the parents and participants involved in the event.
